Erick Hernandez Picazo is a Tenor and Music Educator based in Los Angeles. He holds a BM in Music Education from Cal State LA, where he studied voice under Robert McNeil. Erick also has an AA degree in Music from El Camino College, where he performed in ensembles such as Chorale, Opera Workshop, Guitar Ensemble, Vocal Jazz, Concert Band, and Theater productions such as In the Heights and The Who’s Tommy. Erick taught voice, piano, guitar, saxophone, and clarinet, at Maurock Music Academy in Garden CA for over 2 years and currently teaches at Thurmond Music. He plans to give back to the community by spreading his love for music with the younger generation through Music Education.
Aside from teaching he also has a passion for performing. Erick likes to perform as a soloist, choral member and to be part of theater productions such as musicals and plays. He was most recently seen performing with the LAKMA (Los Angeles Korean-American Musicians Association) choir at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Erick is a current member of the Verid Chorus and JMNS (Joanna Medawar Nachef Singers) who will have a few performances this coming Fall.
