A virtuosic and multifaceted musician, jazz trumpet player Andrew Solares has performed and recorded on many projects and at many venues. Some projects include an album for Alexis Cole, single “Somebody New” for Sophia James, and many other independent recording projects. Andrew has also appeared playing with various artists including Terell Stafford, Jeff Hamelton, Bob Sheppard, and many more. Andrew is an extremely diverse musician, having experiences in both orchestras and wind ensembles, lending him to match many styles of music. Andrew also arranges and composes music for any medium.
Andrew Solares is currently completing his Master’s in jazz at California State University Fullerton, and has completed the jazz studies performance program at the BCCM at CSULB (being awarded the Bob Cole Scholarship). He is currently studying and working with Kye Palmer(Yamaha artist) and Drew Ninmer. Andrew regularly instructs his own private studio and has coached many jazz combos and high school jazz programs throughout his career. Some schools include John F. Kennedy High School and Artesia High School.
